International Weekend, scheduled for May 9th-11th, 2025
We are pleased to announce details for the International Weekend, scheduled for May 9th-11th, 2025, in Llandrindod Wells.
Accommodation:
- The event will be hosted at the Metropole Hotel & Spa, Temple St, Llandrindod Wells LD1 5DY.
- Mark has negotiated excellent value packages for this weekend.
- We are offering the following packages:
- Two nights Dinner, Bed & Breakfast (DBB) with two rounds of golf:
- Twin Rooms: £262 per person (24 spaces available)
- Single Rooms: £322 per person (6 spaces available)

- Location: Builth Wells Golf Club, Golf Links Rd, Builth Wells LD2 3NF.
- Arrival: 10:00 AM for coffee and a bacon roll in the Clubhouse.
- First Tee Time: 11:00 AM.
- Format: To Be Confirmed (TBC)
- Saturday, May 10th, 2025:
- Location: Llandrindod Wells Golf Club, Golf Links Road, Llandrindod Wells LD1 6PB.
- First Tee Time: 11:00 AM.
- Format: Match Play - Wales (Captain: Chis) vs. England (Captain: Matt)
- Saturday Golf Only : £30.00 per person
We understand that not everyone will be able to attend the entire weekend. However, we would greatly appreciate it if you could make every effort to join us for our main event of the year on Saturday and show your support for both Captain Chis and Captain Matt.
We encourage you to confirm your participation and accommodation preferences, including payment, as soon as possible, and importantly, no later than April 17th, 2025, due to limited availability and the hotel's confirmation and payment deadline.
History of our Internationals....
Every year our intrepid members compete at the highest level in our International Wales v England weekend.
The first 3 years (2016/17/18) of our ‘best of 3’ International matches, Captains Robert and Jaimie battled hard with England eventually winning the series 2 - 1
Our next run of 3 year ‘best of 3’ International matches (2019/20/21) involved Captains Wiggy and Bally. There were some great battles including our first ‘halved’ set of matches in 2020. Wales eventually won this hard fought best of 3 series.
The upcoming 3 years Captains of Stu and Will take on the responsibility for our cherished trophy - who will end up taking the spoils….
